This team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church. These missionary pastors serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the spiritual life of the church.
Lead Missionary Pastors
Bill & Carol Paris
Bill Paris and his wife Carol have been serving in Japan as missionary pastors for over 30 years. As a boy from Texas, Bill loved nothing better than watching airplanes and constantly dreamed of flying, until God gave him a larger dream of sharing the gospel throughout America and then in Japan. The couple and their two small children first came to Hokkaido where they ministered for three years while studying Japanese language and culture. Then they pioneered a Japanese church in west Tokyo and later served as head pastors of ICA Tokyo, an international church in downtown Tokyo for 18 years. In 2021, they were appointed as lead pastors of Rock Point Church in Iwakuni.
Missionary Pastors
Aaron & Ashley Withington
Aaron and Ashley serve as missionary pastors at Rock Point Church in Iwakuni, where they have been ministering since August 2025. Aaron is Active Duty retired military, and Ashley has a background in teaching. Together, they enjoy using their talents and giftings to serve both their family and the church.
God placed the people of Japan on their hearts, and they are passionate about serving the people of Iwakuni, no matter where they are from, by helping them grow in their relationship with Christ.
Aaron and Ashley are blessed with six boys. One of their greatest joys is watching their sons grow in their faith. Serving the Lord together as a family is both a privilege and a blessing, and they are grateful for the opportunity to minister alongside one another at Rock Point Church.
